Tapin is a product that helps households quickly add missing items through NFC points and a shared list. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process and why.

2. Data we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and authentication provider identifier.
• Household data: household name, member roles, invite codes, and shared list activity.
• Item data: item names, status, timestamps, context or zone references, and optional notes.
• Device and usage signals: app events needed for reliability, security, and troubleshooting.

3. How we use data

• Provide core functionality of shared household lists.
• Support NFC-based quick-add flows and zone assignment.
• Maintain service security, prevent abuse, and enforce access control.
• Improve performance, reliability, and product quality.

4. Firebase services

Tapin uses Firebase services, including Authentication and Firestore, to manage user access and store app data. Data may be processed on infrastructure operated by Google under applicable data protection terms.

5. Legal basis (EEA/UK)

• Contract: processing needed to provide the Tapin service.
• Legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention, and service improvement.
• Consent: where required by law for optional processing.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for service operation, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. When no longer required, data is deleted or anonymized.
